The orchard is small with a variety of fruit trees: apple, pear, loquat, peach, apricot, almond, plum, fig and feijoa. This, too, needs a lot of attention for it to be productive once more. It is fenced, but that doesn't stop the swamp wallaby from getting in occasionally after the new grass.
The photograph above was taken early in spring when the grass was still green and the almond tree was just coming into flower.
Two plum trees have lots of fruit, but very tiny. The small birds spend a lot of time amongst the leaves.
There are two or three apple trees, but the varieties are unknown. Hopefully, when they ripen we may be able to identify them.
Loquats are slowly turning yellow. I love the leathery texture of the leaves of this tree.
